As a Customer Service Representative within the Monroe County Health Department at the Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways. Job Responsibilities .Customer Service Representative is responsible for performing office support and/or secretarial duties for the Monroe County Health Department such as composing and word processing and working, correspondence, relaying and resolving routine telephone and/or walk-in inquires, scheduling appointments, attending staff meetings and/or trainings, processing forms, data entry, and establishing and maintaining records. The Customer Service Representative will work under the general supervision of the Customer Service Supervisor. Job Duties
- Answering the phones, timely booking of appointments, and calling to confirm appointments.
- Portraying a positive image and engaging in professional and friendly communications with clients to meet their needs in a timely manner.
- Complete requisitions and submit them to the Customer Service Supervisor.
- Maintain and submit monthly reports as requested by Customer Service Supervisor.
- Maintain patient's HIPPA rights and confidentiality
- Communicate message(s) to other staff in a dependable, clear, and efficient manner.
- Facilitate day-to-day operation under the management of the Customer Service Supervisor.
- Performs additional professional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma/GED and one (1) year of experience communicating information in a customer service setting are required. Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of general office or administrative experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong computer and internet skills required MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently, multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
