Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative is to provide professional, helpful, and high-quality service and assistance with customer orders.

Essential Functions Statements

  • Ensure orders are correctly moving through the system, including EDI functions back to government-owned systems
  • Monitor and respond to incoming phone calls, emails, and web chat
  • Manage Open Order reports to keep all customers/sales orders updated
  • Work with Procurement, Contracts, and Sales teams to provide updates on critical orders to maintain contractual obligations
  • Ensure on-time delivery of products to customers
  • Ensure contract compliance and metrics are followed
  • Maintain daily interactions with various Business Units to ensure internal satisfaction
  • Follow all FARS, DFARS, and Compliance measures
  • Provide options to customers on order changes
  • Resolve order issues (e.g., late orders, wrong product sent)
  • Proficient in using ERP Software
  • Distribute critical contract information to Operations; request contract modifications if needed

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal across all business levels
  • Ability to build rapport and credibility with colleagues, customers, and suppliers
  • Customer service focus with the ability to manage difficult customer situations

Education And Experience

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Government sales and Federal contracting experience a plus

Computer Skills

  • MS Office Suite or comparable software, internet search capability, and database creation/entry
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
  • SalesForce or Hubspot experience a plus
