Position SummaryResponsible for developing strategies to meet or exceed the division's business plan for sales, margin, and customer service. This includes managing sales/customer service staff, supporting strategic pricing, interacting with Business Units, formulating price and product strategies, reviewing customer quotations, and analyzing customer service trends.
Scope/Supervision and InteractionDoes not have direct reports. Daily customer interaction is essential.
Essential Functions
- Customer: Develop communication systems and train sales staff to ensure excellent customer service via direct contact, phone, IM, email, and CRM tools.
- Customer Service: Coordinate with Service Centers and Order Entry to meet customer expectations, manage OEM & Distribution account pricing, and meet service metrics. Track performance and analyze trends for improvement.
- Pricing: Implement strategic pricing in line with directives, support sales negotiations, and coordinate annual distributor pricing updates.
- Sales Administration: Supervise sales and customer service teams, develop performance and training plans, and collaborate with IT for system enhancements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
- 3+ years of experience with OEMs or distribution, including leadership roles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, SalesForce, SAP, EDI, and order entry systems; PH Connect experience is a plus.
- Willingness for minimal travel, including local meetings and occasional OEM or administrator meetings.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
