**Customer Service Librarian**

***Fixed-term full-time* *position working 40 hours per week, 8 November 2021 - 30 June 2022 (Tuesday to Saturday)***

Our Napier Library is looking for someone with outstanding customer service skills to make a difference to the customers of our exceptional Library. This is a very busy frontline position based at both our Napier branches, involving customer enquiries, issuing, returning stock and supporting the delivery of our community programmes.

The person we are looking for will have had previous experience in a customer services position or better yet, in a library.

**Other attributes include:**

* The ability to work calmly, politely and collaborate with a wide range of customers

* Being warm and having an open personality with a positive attitude, a sense of humour will go a long way

* Enthusiasm for libraries, reading and working with the community

* Having a professional manner and are well-groomed

* Being a great team player, willing to assist your team where required

* Having competent computer skills

* The ability to work well under pressure

* Being fit and able with the physical demands of the job

* The availability to work weekends, both in the Taradale and Napier Libraries

Please note, it is a requirement of this role to work 40 hours per week, including Saturdays.
