Customer Service Clerk I - Part time (Temporary) - County of Craven North Carolina : Job Details

The primary focus of this position is to provide exceptional customer service for the customers of Craven County Water Department. Performs a variety of clerical work in the receipt and processing of revenues. Essential Functions Greet and assist customers in person, over the phone, and via email. Provides information to customers in a courteous and professional manner. Respond to routine inquiries related to water service, billing, payments, meter readings, service requests, and account status. Receives payments over the counter, through the drop box, and the mail; compares checks with invoices to ensure proper payments; prepares and issues receipts; posts payments to proper accounts in computer files; balances cash drawer daily, reconciling receipts with cash on hand and checks received over the counter or by mail with invoices received.
