As a Customer Relationship Banker, you will identify customer needs and provide tailored financial solutions that enhance their banking experience. Collaborate with BMO partners and within branches to achieve business goals and meet customer expectations.

  • Proactively engage with existing customers and prospects, conducting needs-based assessments to foster loyalty and identify opportunities.
  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to recommend personalized solutions for everyday banking, retail investments, lending, home financing, and small business needs.
  • Guide customers through digital and self-service options to enhance their banking experience.
  • Support customer transaction needs depending on branch traffic.
  • Initiate outreach to cultivate new relationships and drive business growth within the community.
  • Address questions and resolve issues related to consumer credit through audits ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Apply risk management frameworks to protect the bank's assets and maintain quality lending in line with guidelines.
  • Make informed credit recommendations for personal lending transactions consistent with best practices and bank policies.
  • Contribute as a key member of a dynamic and collaborative branch team.
  • Understand and integrate customer banking needs while highlighting marketing promotions and programs.
  • Stay organized and accurate in handling work information.
  • Take the lead in delivering personalized customer experiences by being innovative and resourceful.
  • Continuously seek ways to enhance overall customer experience.
  • Ensure compliance with risk and regulatory processes while protecting customer assets and privacy.
  • Keep current on personal banking products and integrate this knowledge into customer interactions.
  • Recognize and report suspicious activities related to money laundering.
  • Adhere to legal and regulatory standards in all activities.
  • Complete various tasks within guidelines, handling escalations as necessary.
  • Analyze issues and determine appropriate next steps.
  • Broader responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field is desirable; equivalent education and experience will be considered.
  • Completion of registration to sell investment products, where applicable.
  • Possess appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
  • Familiarity with personal and small business banking needs.
  • Understanding of retail investment and lending products.
  • Experience in the financial services sector is advantageous.
  • Comfortable using social media, tablets, smartphones, and online tools.
  • Proven track record in a consultative customer service or sales role with a passion for delivering personal customer experiences.
  • Results-driven with a collaborative spirit in team environments.
  • Self-motivated with the confidence to approach customers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers.
  • Aptitude in listening and problem-solving, adapting creatively to challenges.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective organization and collaboration abilities.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving acumen.

Salary: $41,715.00 - $67,000.00

Pay Type: Salaried

Note: Salaries may vary based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications. Additional commission structures may apply. For part-time roles, salary will be pro-rated.
