Elderhaus is Hiring! Custodian, Full-Time About the Role: Elderhaus, located in Wilmington NC are seeking a dedicated custodian to support the maintenance and cleanliness of our facilities. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for our participants, staff, and visitors. Under the supervision of the Center Administrator, you will perform a variety of housekeeping and floor care duties in accordance with State, Federal, and Local regulations. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and deep cleaning of floors, carpets, bathrooms, windows, and furnishings according to established schedules and safety protocols.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including buffers, extractors, and disinfecting tools, ensuring proper use and storage.
• Respond promptly to emergency clean-up situations, including spills and biohazards, using Universal Precautions.
• Support facility operations by setting up and breaking down equipment for events, and assisting with furniture arrangement and inspection.
• Monitor supply levels, report maintenance issues, and participate in ongoing training to uphold safety, cleanliness, and infection control standards.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. CPR certification required.

Qualifications:

• Prior custodial or janitorial experience in healthcare or educational settings preferred.
• Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and ability to meet EveryAge auto insurance standards.

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow directions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of health and nutrition.
