Job Description: Performs routine cleaning of offices and public areas and maintenance of tile and carpeted floors in all RTEC buildings.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

Cleans, sweeps, dust mops, wet mops floors, stairways, corridors to ensure cleanliness.

Empty and clean all waste baskets, keep liners in place.

Determines type of chemicals and equipment necessary for specific cleaning tasks.

Performs routine maintenance of housekeeping equipment.

Orders supplies and maintains inventory of supplies.

Washes windows, inside and out.

Remove snow and other debris for safety from entrances and exits to buildings.

Setup and cleanup for special meetings or events.

Identifies cleaning problems and determines appropriate remedies.

Adhere to confidentiality and all policies of RTEC

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be physically able to push, pull, stoop, bend and lift up to 50 lbs to perform tasks as the job requires. Must have good communication skills in the English language, legible handwriting.

Must have a High School Diploma or GED plus a valid Kentucky drivers license and have a clear background check.
