Title Custodian - Full Time Location Dishchiibikoh Community School, Cibecue, AZ Description To perform custodial duties as required by district standards; to maintain the cleanliness and safe conditions of a school environment Essential Duties • Perform custodial duties as required by district standards • Perform many diversified tasks each day to maintain the cleanliness and safe condition of the schools • Sweep, dust, vacuum, scrub, wax, polish and disinfect floors and surfaces • Wash windows, walls, woodwork and equipment • Empty trash receptacles • Operate custodial power equipment • Assist in moving equipment and furniture as required • Regular and on-time attendance required • Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit • Perform minor repairs Marginal Duties • Assisting other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities Supervision School Principal AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY ORGANIZATION: The district does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex or gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or marital status. Requirements Minimum Qualifications • Previous custodial experience desired • Satisfactory criminal background check • Follow district policies • Open and secure building/facility • Handle emergency custodial duties for principals, teachers and staff • Be responsible, reliable, flexible and adaptable to change; regular and on-time attendance required Qualifications • Knowledge of custodial equipment, supplies, and proper cleaning procedures • Ability to work independently, under pressure and follow directions • Ability to perform heavy manual labor as required • Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds • Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with staff members • Satisfactory work record • High School education or GED preferred • Ability to communicate effectively Physical Demands • Frequent lifting, carrying, pulling, running, and/or throwing • Must be able to push/pull up to 50lbs and lift/carry up to 50lbs • Occasional climbing, balancing, and/or use of stairs • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and/or crawl • Position requires continuous standing and/or walking Environmental Conditions • Occasional exposure to cold, heat, wet and/or humid conditions • Occasional exposure to noises and vibrations • Occasional exposure to fumes, mists, odors, gases, dust Contact Samuel Lupe Phone: (928) ###-#### Fax: (928) ###-#### [email protected] PO Box 80068, Cibecue, AZ 85911 Files
