Job Description :

1. Strategy development and execution working with collaborators within and outside of the University. Working with leadership to develop and implement a strategic vision and work plans.

  • Recommend structural or programmatic adjustments, changes or additions based on full knowledge of missions, goals, and objectives.
  • Advise leadership on broad range of strategic, development, and communications issues related to research and policy development opportunities.
  • Manage ongoing partnerships with local, state, national, and non-governmental organizations focused on health research, policy development and implementation.
  • Identify new opportunities for expanding the program within Yale and among other academic and non-academic organizations locally and nationally.
  • Seek external funding opportunities and assist with the submission of grant proposals.
  • Develop new programs and fund initiatives, catalyzing program development throughout the University and with external collaborators. Develop metrics to measure program success.
  • Envision and direct communications to support strong visibility of the program both inside and outside Yale through strategic outreach, conference attendance, special events, media, and other avenues.
  • Take primary responsibility for designing and managing program communications; identify outreach opportunities and promote philanthropic and collaborative support.
  • Execute communication efforts for the program, including content development and management on the program's website, monitoring all updates and editorial content.
  • Required Skills and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of standard practices in the Custodial professions, with proven ability to create staffing models, manage staff activities, and oversee planning and scheduling for routine and project work, including construction and renovation projects.
  • Well-developed managerial skills, including experience with performance management, feedback, and supervising in a unionized environment.
  • Experience with financial management related to facility maintenance, operations, and project engineering; ability to prepare and present reports and develop sustainable programs.
  • Knowledge of CMMS management for data collection, analytics, KPI tracking, and process improvement.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage multiple projects and deadlines, especially in a campus environment with complex building functions such as science and labs.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Master's degree in business, administration, facility management, or a related field.
    • Bachelor's degree with seven years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
