Mission

The mission of the Programming & Software Development Career and Technical Education (CTE) Curriculum Manager is to manage and support the successful implementation of the CTE curriculum at IDEA Public Schools. The Curriculum Manager will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive, research-based, standards-aligned, and user-friendly curriculum. They will execute a curriculum support system to enhance teacher effectiveness and student success. Responsibilities include conducting site visits, providing feedback, designing and facilitating professional development, seeking feedback, and reporting on student progress and achievement.

Description

The Curriculum Manager will oversee curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring alignment with standards and fostering academic excellence. This role involves collaboration with teachers, leaders, and stakeholders to improve instructional practices and student outcomes.

Location

This is a full-time position based in Texas, with a preference for candidates residing in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin (Midland/Odessa), Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and Tarrant County (Fort Worth), or those willing to relocate.

Travel Expectations

This remote position requires in-person meetings, campus visits, and may involve travel up to 30% during peak times.

Essential Duties
  • Create, revise, and refine curriculum products to meet student achievement goals.
  • Design and post curriculum materials according to deadlines.
  • Align instructional materials with standards, creating scope and sequences and ensuring clear articulation.
  • Develop instructional resources, assessments, and supporting documents aligned with standards.
  • Design and deliver high-quality assessments and analyze data to inform instruction.
  • Support and coach Course Leaders, providing professional development and management.
  • Lead district-wide professional development sessions and training logistics.
  • Analyze student achievement data to support curriculum implementation and improve performance.
  • Conduct campus observations and provide feedback on curriculum delivery.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and collaborate across teams.
  • Travel for site visits and workshops as needed.
  • Additional Knowledge and Skills
    • Proficiency in curriculum design, standards, assessments, and research-based practices.
    • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    Required Experience
    • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
    • Educator certification required.
    • At least five years of teaching experience in relevant content areas.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and educational technology.
    Preferred Experience
    • Proven results in student achievement and curriculum development.
    • Experience in designing assessments and facilitating professional development.
    • Leadership experience in managing teams or projects.
    Physical Requirements
    • Prolonged sitting, lifting up to 20 pounds, and travel for meetings and observations.
    What We Offer

    Salary range: $81,800 - $95,800, commensurate with experience. Benefits include health plans, disability, life insurance, parental benefits, flexible spending, vacation, bonuses, professional development, and a 403(b) plan. Relocation stipends may be available.
