About the Role

Under the general supervision of a Radiologist, the CT Technologist performs diagnostic CT procedures and advanced post-processing to provide high-quality imaging for physician interpretation. This role requires strong technical expertise, adherence to imaging protocols, and patient-focused care to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures and ensure proper patient preparation, positioning, shielding, and immobilization.
• Operate CT scanners, power injectors, and related computer systems across multiple sites.
• Follow protocols based on ImageGently Guidelines and ensure compliance with dose monitoring programs.
• Perform and assist with CT Interventional Procedures and advanced CTA studies (Carotid, Head, Run-offs, PE, TAVR, EVAR, Cardiac Imaging).
• Maintain knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology to optimize imaging quality and patient safety.
• Interpret technical factors and apply physics principles to improve image quality while minimizing patient dose.
• Precept and assist with the orientation of new staff as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to organizational policies and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current ARRT (CT) certification and applicable state license (if required).
• BLS Certification (AHA or equivalent).
• 2+ years of CT technologist experience preferred.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of thoracic, abdominal, pelvic, neuro, and musculoskeletal imaging.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and independent decision-making skills.
