Job Title: CT Scan Technologist (CWR) Location: North Bergen, NJ (07047) Duration: 2 Months Hours Per Week: 40 Hours Per Day: 10 Days Per Week: 4 Shift: 10:00 PM - 8:30 AM, Mon-Thu (weekends and holidays as needed, no on-call) Job Summary: The CT Scan Technologist is responsible for performing complex computer tomography (CT) procedures, generating sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation, and assisting in interventional and therapeutic procedures. Essential Job Functions:
- Perform complex CT procedures.
- Review and document the patient's clinical history for procedures, ensuring accurate entry into PACS.
- Prepare and review the accuracy of contrast questionnaires with patients and family members.
- Administer contrast media as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
- Verify and clarify patient prescriptions and coordinate with Radiologists and Referring Physicians for additional information when needed.
- Ensure appropriate insurance verification and exam script management.
- Schedule and manage external studies and ensure they are available for comparison in PACS.
- Provide exam copies to patients and physicians as needed.
- Evaluate radiographs in PACS for proper identification and diagnostic quality.
- Determine patient readiness for scanning, including necessary preparations and shieldings.
- Administer contrast and monitor patient reactions during the procedure.
- Assist with IV insertion and maintenance during scanning procedures.
- Ensure patient care and safety, following department policies on attendance, punctuality, and employee standards.
- Adjust care delivery according to patient population needs (age, culture, language, etc.).
- Comply with institutional competencies and standards of behavior.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of CT experience required.
- Proficiency with Siemens CT, Siemens Definition, and GoTop systems.
- Ability to start IVs and administer injections.
Education:
- Required: Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program. High school diploma or equivalent.
Certifications & Licensure:
- Required: NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License, ARRT Certified R.T.(R), American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Preferred: ARRT certified R.T. (CT) license.

Schedule Notes: 10:00 PM - 8:30 AM (4x10-hour shifts, Mon-Thu). Weekends and holidays as needed. Additional Requirements: Must have at least 1 year of prior CT experience and be proficient with Siemens CT systems, including Siemens Definition and GoTop. Ability to start IVs and administer injections is essential.
