Community Care Network is seeking a Crisis Stabilization & Inpatient Diversion Shift Lead to join our team! Community Care Network is comprised of Rutland Mental Health Services and Rutland Community Programs. Our mission is to enhance the well-being of our communities, individuals and families through responsive, innovative and collaborative human services. About the Role: In addition to Recovery Specialist responsibilities, the Crisis Stabilization & Inpatient Diversion (CSID) Shift Leader will provide oversight of the day-to-day operations and maintain a safe, healthy and therapeutic residential environment. The Shift Leader will coordinate client services, maintain adherence with daily schedule, ensure treatment and discharge plans are being followed, mentor new staff, assist with staffing coverage. Assisting clients in minimizing symptoms of acute psychiatric episodes by structuring wellness activities, assessing needs and preferences within the residence and in the community, supportive counseling, planning discharge services and assisting clients for reintegration into community. The Shift Leader will steer effective communication and a good working relationship with the treatment team across all shifts to deliver efficient and effective care to clients, resulting in their return to home/community. Principal Responsibilities:
  • Adheres to program philosophy, policies and procedures including established entrance, continued stay, and discharge criteria.
  • Provides outcome-oriented client services in accordance with their personal treatment plan.
  • Ensures the timely completing of all records and data collection as required by program, State, and accrediting bodies.
  • Work as an effective member of the support team.
  • Attends staff meeting and trainings on a regular basis.
  • Assists Residential program leaders with co-worker training as requested.
  • Participates in community education activities as requested by supervisor.
  • Provide program assistance to Manager of CSID.
Qualifications and Competencies:
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, human services, social work or related field preferred; High School diploma required.
  • Must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift:
    • 2nd shift: 2:45pm-11:15pm
    • 3rd shift: 10pm-8am
  • A minimum of one year experience in a Residential Recovery Specialist position or similar position required.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and ability to work effectively with adults experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms as a part of a team of professional care providers.
  • Understanding of the etiology and treatment of mental illness.
  • Ability to provide recovery-oriented counseling/support.
  • Ability to balance autonomy and work within team structure
  • Must have a valid driver's license, and reliable transportation with personal automobile liability insurance coverage at or above the levels mandated by the State of Vermont.
  • *Successful completion of a criminal history background check after hire.
