IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Location Supervisor

GENERAL FUNCTION: The person in this position provides direct services to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. They participate in crisis service delivery and perform other delegated responsibilities.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIRED TRAINING: Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Services, or related field. Ability to work effectively in crisis settings, using mature judgment and appropriate intervention strategies. Must demonstrate self-motivation, excellent communication, good listening skills, and the ability to support others. Must meet credentialing standards per TennCare and other payers.

Duties And Responsibilities:

• Conduct telephone crisis assessments to determine response.
• Assign response responsibilities to Crisis Specialists based on availability and call requirements.
• Perform field assessments with Crisis Specialists to determine appropriate dispositions.
• Record caller and response information in the database.
• Provide warm line services and make referrals to other agencies.
• Log personal belongings of individuals at the Crisis Assessment Center.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Maintain effective relationships with clinical staff and clients.
