About The PositionA Criminalist I performs analysis, examination, and testing of physical evidence. Required education and experience:A bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency in chemistry, biology, or a closely related field.In order for your education to be considered, you must attach a copy of your diploma, transcripts or foreign studies equivalency certificate to your application.Condition Of EmploymentAs part of the County of San Diego's pre-employment process, prospective candidates will undergo a background check (including fingerprinting) and a pre-employment medical screening prior to beginning County employment.
