Job Summary
A leading financial institution is seeking a Credit Risk Analyst/Officer at the VP level. This role requires subject matter expertise and proven experience managing credit risk across a growing counterparty portfolio, including traded products such as repo, securities lending, derivatives, and MBS forwards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform counterparty credit analysis on banks, broker dealers, clearing houses, insurance companies, REITs, regulated and pension funds, and agents/asset managers trading on behalf of underlying clients.
- Conduct due diligence, including information-gathering discussions and meetings with clients.
- Collaborate closely with revenue-generating teams as well as colleagues across internal functions.
- Apply knowledge of counterparty legal documentation and related credit terms where applicable.
- Manage Americas-based counterparties (United States, Canada, Latin America, Cayman Islands, Bermuda).
- Contribute to additional credit-related projects and initiatives.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience performing credit analysis.
- Strong background writing credit reviews on hedge funds, banks, insurance companies, REITs, and pension funds.
- Intermediate expertise with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables); PowerPoint skills preferred.
- Solid understanding of repos, securities lending, and derivatives products.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams and interact directly with sales, trading, and clients.
- Bachelor's degree required.
