Job Description :
Credit Manager Automation Personnel Services is seeking an experienced Credit Manager at our corporate headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama. In this role, you will communicate with customers and branch managers while overseeing the department staff. Credit Manager Duties & Responsibilities
  • Underwriting customer prospects
  • Identifying key risks with existing customers
  • Collection of payments
  • Manage all aspects of accounts receivable, collections
  • Ownership of Trade Risk Insurer
  • Take ownership of the credit process
  • Underwrite credit risk for new customers.
  • Identify policy exceptions.
  • Manage DSO.
  • Process and manage collection/claims for delinquent accounts
  • Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Organize information and statements for both internal and external audits.
  • Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls.
  • Perform other tasks as required by Automation
Credit Manager Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting, or comparable experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in underwriting or collections
  • Experience in accounts receivable or collections as supervisor or manager preferred
  • Highly proficient in computer software programs such as, Microsoft Office and database systems
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Knowledge of state and federal collection laws
  • Knowledge of high-volume collections, credit authorization, and billing procedures and practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail
  • Analytical ability to develop and implement process improvements
  • Able to work well with senior executives and management team, as well as mentor/lead department
  • Understand and follow all EEOC, workers' compensation, OSHA, and other safety rules.
