Base pay range

$150,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr

An International Bank located in midtown NYC is seeking to hire a Credit Documentation Officer. The Credit Documentation Officer is responsible for managing all credit related documentation issues relating to assigned NY customers (mixed portfolio of Corporates and Financial Institutions).

This includes preparation of documentation applications, standard credit loan and collateral documentation and ensuring regulatory compliance. The Credit Documentation Officer supports the analysts loan application process and the monitoring of assigned documentation.

DUTIES

• In close collaboration with legal departments draft and / or assess credit and bond agreements incl. securities/collateral documentations for selected business units in the America region (with main office in New York (hub) and Head-Office under various relevant jurisdictions.

• Make decisions on documentation-related issues and write or quality control respective internal applications for senior decision makers' approval.

• Review and execute loan and collateral documentation, waiver, ancillaries and amendments

• Analysis and assessment of documentation risks, IFRS 9 compliance etc. in complex financing structures and products.

• Maintain credit and collateral files to ensure compliance with U.S. regulatory framework.

• Negotiate agreements in cooperation with respective front office colleagues, legal department and other relevant internal stakeholders.

• Liaise closely with legal departments, Documentation & Risk Management Units

• Proactive in suggesting improvements to credit documentation process and adequate risk-reducing measures.

• Participation in cross-divisional digitalization and other projects.

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Preferably law degree or alternatively graduate in business administration with further relevant qualifications (e.g. LL.M.), as well as theoretical and practical knowledge in credit and bond documentation globally.

• Ability to work proactively and well under pressure.

• Good oral and written communication / negotiation skills in (legal) English.

• Sound knowledge of U.S. banking system and regulatory environment.

• 5+ years of experience in credit & bond loan documentation globally.

EDUCATION

o Bachelor's or Master's degree in legal, business, economics, or related field.
