Location: McLean, VA (Onsite)

Assignment Type: Permanent Hire

Compensation: $100,000 $120,000 annually

Work Schedule: Monday Friday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM

Job Description:

We are seeking a Credit Associate to join a growing financial services team. This role will play a key part in credit analysis, client engagement, and portfolio management. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and confident in building client relationships while supporting credit decisions and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and risk assessments for prospective and existing clients.
  • Support client portfolio management by preparing pro forma models, credit committee memorandums, and renewal packages.
  • Collect and analyze client documentation to support underwriting and compliance processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on transaction structuring and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor credit quality, identify portfolio trends, and recommend action plans.
  • Assist with waivers, amendments, and other credit-related requests.
  • Engage directly with clients to resolve discrepancies, collect documents, and ensure timely communication.
  • Partner with leadership and peers to improve processes as the organization scales.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration (required).
  • 4+ years of credit analysis experience, including at least 2 years in a client-facing role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial statements, P&L review, and cash flow analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills (required).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact directly with clients.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and resilience in a fast-growing environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
