We are seeking an individual to join our client's Provider Services team in the capacity of Credentialing Coordinator. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, performing most tasks related to the credentialing of new providers, including document collection and verification, and provider credentialing file maintenance; ensuring that all credentialing supporting documentation is confidential and maintained in a secure environment; and assisting facilities and providers in understanding and adhering to the organization's policies and procedures regarding the credentialing process. The individual in this role will be responsible for: Maintaining communication with the credentialing contacts at facilities and provider sites to coordinate receipt of information required for credentialing, re-credentialing, and updating of provider credentialing information. Reviewing provider re-credentialing and credentialing file for completion and presentation to the Credentialing Committee. Performing primary source verification on required elements and in accordance with regulatory guidelines and the organization's policies and procedures. Data entry and upkeep of provider information in the credentialing and other pertinent databases. Verifying New York State OPMC, Medicare/Medicaid lists and other pertinent databases for any current sanctions, restrictions on licensure and/or limitations on the scope of practice on all credentialed providers in interim credentialing periods. Verifying New York State license registration and DEA registration status for all credentialed providers in the interim credentialing periods. Generating and disseminating monthly provider credentialing updates to appropriate departments within the organization and participating facilities and provider groups. Reviewing and responding to requests for credentialing information/copies of credentialing files to appropriate departments within the organization. Generating and disseminating provider rosters to delegated facilities, contracted group practices etc. Performing provider roster reconciliation. Creating, copying, filing, and maintaining all relevant documentation into the appropriate provider credentialing folder. Maintaining the confidentiality of provider credentials. The ideal candidate will have: Excellent communication and organizational skills. Previous experience with provider credentialing processes and procedures. Intermediate-level computer skills and the ability to work with Microsoft Office. Knowledge of CACTUS preferred. Please note that the salary range and/or hourly rate range of $23.50 to $26.50 is a good faith determination of potential base compensation offered to applicants at the time of this job advertisement and may be subject to modification in the future.
