The Credentialing Associate plays a key role in supporting the credentialing and recredentialing of dentists across SGA Dental Partners. This position is responsible for ensuring that all documentation is accurately completed, submitted, and tracked in accordance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements. The Credentialing Associate also provides administrative support to the Insurance Contract Specialist, assisting in the management of insurance contracts and related documentation. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties
- Credential, recredential, and tracks dentists as requested by the Management Team
- Provides follow-up information and status updates on all credentialing applications
- Maintains credentialing tracker, doctor roster, and network status trackers for SGA Dental Partners
- Monitors and responds to 'recred' email requests from offices
- Communicates effectively and professionally with doctors, office managers, and executive team to gather required documentation for credentialing applications
- Gathers additional information from insurance companies as needed
- Answer telephone.
- Maintains patient/provider confidentiality and takes every precaution to secure electronic Protected Health Information (PHI) under HIPAA.
- Assists Insurance Contract Specialist as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Strong knowledge of English composition, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Proficiency with basic office equipment, including telephones, calculators, copiers, fax machines, computers, and common software programs (Microsoft Excel, Word, Practice Management software).

Education/ Experience - High school diploma or equivalent required.
- College degree preferred.
Physical/ Environmental Requirements - Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to hear and speak clearly over the phone to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
- Ability to read memos, computer screens, personnel forms, and clinical or administrative documents.
- High manual dexterity required.
- Ability to reach above shoulder level, bend, squat, sit, stand, stoop, crouch, kneel, twist, and turn as needed in the course of work.
