Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

• Associate degree in applied science in Chemical Dependency or related field; OR two (2) years' experience working in a chemical dependency setting.?

License/Certification

Minimum Required:

• Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC).

Work Environment

• Works in a private office as well as in a group room conducting groups. All rooms are air‐conditioned and heated.
• Protective equipment‐ gloves when handling urine drug screen specimens, latex free gloves are available.

Age of Patients Served

• Early Adulthood: 18 to 45 Years
• Middle Adult: 46 to 59 Years
• Late Adult: 60 to 79 Years
• Elderly: 80+ Years

HIPAA Roles‐Based Access to Patient Information

• All‐ Access to patient information, including restricted information‐ Level 4.
