You will play a key role in shaping how we push the boundaries of interactive live-streaming, blending gaming, technology, and design to create innovative experiences for users and creators.Responsibilities:

• Prototype & Experiment – Rapidly develop interactive features, animations, and game mechanics for Favorited's live-streaming experience.
• Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration – Work alongside designers, game developers, engineers, and producers to bring concepts to life.
• Emerging Tech Exploration – Experiment with AI, real-time rendering, procedural animation, and new UX paradigms.
• Innovate in Engagement – Design ways to enhance audience participation, retention, and monetization through interactive elements.
• Build & Iterate Fast – Work in short development cycles, refining and improving prototypes based on feedback.

What We're Looking ForAs a Creative Technologist, you bridge the gap between technology and creativity. You thrive in fast-paced, highly collaborative environments, enjoy exploring uncharted territory in interactive entertainment, and have a passion for game design, real-time interaction, and emerging technology. You are a self-starter who thrives in an exploratory environment, has boundless creativity, and is not afraid to take initiative. This role is a catch-all, whether you're a designer, engineer, motion designer, game producer, etc: if you think you have something to contribute to R&D, we'd like to hear from you.What you see below is not necessarily a requirement but encouraged.Minimum Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in interactive media, game development, creative coding, or real-time systems or an equivalent combination of education, personal projects, and hands-on experimentation
• Strong understanding of motion design, animation, or game mechanics.
• Experience with prototyping and iterating quickly in a production environment.
• Ability to think outside the box and experiment with new ideas.
• Must live in or around Los Angeles, CA or be willing to move.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong skills in: JavaScript, Spanner, Node.js, Typescript, Python, GCP, or other creative coding languages.
• Background in UX/UI for interactive experiences.
• Passion for live-streaming, gaming, or social engagement platforms.

Nice to Haves:

• Rive, After Effects, or Figma – Motion design and interactive UI/UX animation skills.
• Game Design & Mechanics – Understanding of game loops, progression, and player engagement.
• Interactive Storytelling – Experience with branching narratives, procedural storytelling, or world-building.
• Economy & Rewards – Familiarity with virtual economies, in-game currencies, and monetization.
• Social & Community – Knowledge of UGC, player interaction, and community-building.
• Live Ops & Events – Experience with seasonal events, live challenges, and engagement strategies
