Primary Function
Our client is one of the nation's premier graduate schools for social work, located in the heart of Boston, this institution has a rich history of over 100 years in social work education. It is home to a dynamic faculty conducting innovative research on critical social justice issues and serves graduate students across multiple residential campuses and online programs. They are seeking a tech-savvy, creative digital marketer to support the department's marketing and communication plans.
Hybrid role - 2 days remote
Potentially temp to perm
Location: Boston, MA
Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborate with the assistant dean to support and execute the department's marketing and communications strategies
Create engaging content for the school's website and social media channels to enhance visibility and engagement
Maintain and update website content to ensure accuracy, usability, and alignment with brand standards
Design and produce a variety of print and digital materials
Develop and implement communication plans that support the school's recruitment efforts, academic programs, and strategic initiatives
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all platforms
Support the department's website redesign project in close collaboration with the assistant dean and the BU web team
Ensure all marketing and communication materials reflect the school's values, voice, and visual identity
Skills & Qualifications
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to write, edit, and produce compelling print and web content
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HTML, Google Analytics, and MailChimp (or similar email marketing platform)
Proficiency in WordPress required
Ability to handle a high volume of work and operate in a fast-paced work environment
Comfortable analyzing data and trends and making informed recommendations accordingly
Exceptional organizational skills, strong work ethic, detail-oriented multi-tasker able to prioritize work responsibilities and meet deadlines
Strong project management skills
Positive attitude and forward thinker
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree required in marketing, communications, or related field(s)
Three plus years related work experience
Proven success as a digital marketer with experience using website and social media platforms
Hands-on graphic design experience, including creating and editing original print and digital materials using Adobe Creative Cloud (primarily InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) and/or Canva, is a plus
