Description

Resorts World is seeking an experience, visionary Creative Director to lead our internal design and advertising efforts across four iconic properties: Resorts World New York City, Resorts World Catskills, Resorts World Bimini, and Resorts World Hudson Valley. This role is based in Queens, NY, and functions as a shared service, overseeing a team of talented graphic designers and collaborating with stakeholders from each property to ensure a unified, high-impact brand presence.

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of in-house graphic designers, fostering an environment of creativity, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Oversee creative direction and execution for advertising campaigns, visual identity, and marketing collateral for all four Resorts World properties.
  • Function as the primary creative liaison between the shared services team and marketing leads at each property, ensuring brand consistency while tailoring creative to unique audiences and goals.
  • Own the creative process from ideation to final production, balancing big-picture vision with tactical execution.
  • Set and uphold high standards for design quality, brand voice, and visual storytelling.
  • Manage multiple, simultaneous projects with competing priorities and fast turnarounds.
  • Stay on top of industry trends, competitive campaigns, and emerging technologies to keep Resorts World brands fresh and relevant.
  • Oversee external vendors, freelancers, and agency partnerships as needed.
  • Ability to collaborate with clients to understand detailed requirements and determine a creative vision that matches client briefs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to clearly and effectively communicate the creative vision, concepts, ideas, and solutions to stakeholders, internal teams, and clients.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting, including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
  • Extensive supervisory experience (including leadership, team building, and delegation) leading and managing a creative team.
  • A solid grasp of art history, design history, photography and the visual arts, pop culture, and counterculture; fluency in current technology, politics, a deep understanding of the zeitgeist of social tastes and current affairs.
  • Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model to consistently deliver design solutions for approval.
  • Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.

  • The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate. When on the property or some back of house areas, the noise level increases to loud. Must be able to interact with internal and external guests in a professional manner.
  • Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, employees must be able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.

Work/Educational Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or Communications.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in creative direction, advertising, or design, and experience managing a creative team.
  • Proven history of developing successful multi-channel campaigns and evolving brand identity.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing both conceptual thinking and delivery across print, digital, and video.
  • Experience working in hospitality, entertainment, or destination brands is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills; able to translate creative ideas into actionable plans for both creative and non-creative stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, deadline-driven, and adaptable to shifting priorities.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience developing and implementing communication strategies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient understanding of graphic design and branding.
  • Must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school or equivalent diploma and have the ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to the New York State Lottery regulations.
