Crane Operator - Trillium Staffing : Job Details

A fast-paced and safety-driven manufacturing facility is seeking a skilled Crane Operator to join the 2nd shift team in Montgomery, IL! Hours: 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM. Candidate must be flexible and able to work OT as needed based on production/support needs. Pay Range: $23.00 - $26.00/hour (based on experience) Shift Premium: Additional $1.00/hour for 2nd shift (included in the range) A well-established metals processing facility is looking for an experienced Crane Operator to join its team. This hands-on role involves staging materials for production, inspecting finished goods, and preparing orders for shipment. Ideal candidates will have experience in a warehouse or industrial setting and be comfortable operating overhead cranes and forklifts. Key Responsibilities: - Package and label materials according to customer specifications - Stage finished materials for outbound shipment - Operate overhead cranes to move steel or other metal materials - Operate forklifts or side loaders to transport product within the facility - Confirm work orders and job completion using warehouse management systems - Follow production schedules and safety protocols to ensure timely order fulfillment - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment - Perform other duties as assigned; responsibilities may shift based on operational needs If you're looking to join a company that values precision and teamwork, we encourage you to apply! Qualifications: - Must successfully complete a skills-based assessment (reading, math, measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving) - At least 1 year of experience in a metals or industrial warehouse; knowledge of structural steel is a plus - Proven experience operating overhead cranes safely and efficiently - Forklift and/or side-loader operation experience required - Ability to use measuring tools accurately, including tape measures, micrometers, and calipers - Comfortable using pneumatic tools and working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervisionTrillium has been recruiting and placing professionals for over 30 years.
