Job Overview

The Crane Operator II is responsible for operating a mobile crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads. The role involves unloading crane accessories, following safety procedures, conducting equipment inspections, and working in outdoor environments, often in Caroline County, Virginia, with travel to various job sites.

Responsibilities
  • Operate various types of cranes to lift materials and personnel, set up equipment according to manufacturer and company standards, and direct ground crew activities.
  • Perform routine and scheduled maintenance, carry tools for repairs, and ensure safety protocols are followed during setup and operation.
  • Drive trucks to worksites and unload equipment as needed.
  • Assist in modular delivery tasks and perform other duties as assigned.
    • Minimum Requirements
    • High school diploma or GED with 1-5 years of experience.
    • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and ANSI standards related to crane operations.
    • Ability to pass drug tests and background checks.
    • Proficiency in English (reading and speaking).
    • Willingness to travel, often for up to a week.
    • Physical ability to lift heavy weights, work at heights, and perform physical tasks.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • CDL Class A license, NCCCO, TSS, TLL certifications (LBC helpful but not required).
    • Excellent communication skills and technical knowledge.
    Compensation & Benefits
    • Pay range: $35 - $42 per hour.
    • Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, 401k, military reserve pay offset, and paid maternity leave.
