COURT PROGRAM SPECIALIST I - 22010270 - STATE OF FLORIDA : Job Details

Consults directly with judges on cases involving defendants diagnosed with mental illness or intellectual disabilities. Coordinates community-based services, including residential, psychiatric, and substance use treatment for criminal defendants. Develops conditional release plans and drafts orders for judicial approval. Manages a caseload of supervised defendants to ensure compliance with court-ordered conditions. Prepares cases for court, attends hearings, briefs judges, and maintains case notes and filing systems. Screens and schedules cases, notifies all parties of court dates, and assists with scheduling outpatient evaluations. Serves as a liaison between the court, attorneys, service agencies, and treatment providers. Delivers transport orders to the Department of Corrections Transportation Unit. Uploads case-related documentation to the Mental Health Administrators database. Performs additional duties as assigned.
