The Fifth Judicial District of the Iowa Judicial Branch has an immediate opening for COURT ACCESS SERVICES COORDINATOR. The Court Access Services Coordinator facilitates access to court interpretive resources, Americans with Disability Act resources, and other resources to support individuals navigating the legal system. Location: Warren County Courthouse, Indianola - This position will be under District Court Administration supervision. To Apply: Candidates will need to submit a cover letter and resume. New state employees are expected to start at the base salary, however we can review based on qualifications for a higher starting rate. This is a contact-covered, FLSA non-exempt position. Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00A - 4:30P To be successful in this position you will need to have the following:

Under the direct supervision of district court administration, the responsibilities of this position include:
  • Learning the complexities of our court case processing system using our statewide Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
  • Coordinate and manage court access programs and services.
  • Assist a diverse population, including sensitive situations, with understanding court procedures and accessing legal resources.
  • Coordinate with staff on court schedules and access needs for court proceedings.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of services provided.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of court access programs and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and policies.
  • Travel within the district may be required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This is a non-merit position with the Iowa Judicial Branch. Candidates must follow the instructions in the To Apply section. Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise Minimum Qualification Requirements The incumbent must meet the minimum requirements to qualify for the position. 1) High school diploma (or high school equivalency diploma). 2) Two (2) years of experience in customer service or a closely related experience. Experience in a legal, court, or judicial setting is preferred.
