County Maintenance II - Custer County : Job Details

This position is located in Custer, SD. Relocation or commute required.Custer County is accepting applications for a full-time Maintenance II position with the Building &Grounds Maintenance Dept. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Director, and willhelp plan, troubleshoot, guide, lead and carry out all maintenance and janitorial tasks throughoutall Custer County buildings and grounds. This position will, at times, provide leadership to upto two other employees.This position requires applicants to: be a minimum of 18 years old, have/maintain a valid SDDriver's License, perform snow removal via shovel and power equipment, operate a variety of small to medium equipment, operate hand & power tools, perform repairs and routine maintenance on all County facilities and department equipment, climb ladders, perform janitorial cleaning duties, obtain a SD Commercial Pesticide Applicator's License (categories G & 4), pass a criminal background check, work without guidance, have leadership skills, communicate well, be detailed orientated, be safety orientated when operating all tools/equipment, perform a variety of physical activities & ability to lift 50 lbs. in the performance job duties.Please obtain and read and sign the full job description before submitting your application.Competitive wage and benefits.
