Nevada County is seeking a County Information Security Officer to plan, organize, direct and control the activities and staff of the County's Information Security Program. This includes the areas of cybersecurity awareness, risk assessment, security policies, business impact analysis, disaster recovery and business resumption. Act as an advocate for the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the County's information assets; provide expert professional assistance to Board of Supervisors and County management staff in areas of cybersecurity.
The County Information Security Officer (CISO) reports to the Information and General Services Agency Director and is held accountable for the success of the Information Security Program. May act on behalf of the Department Head.

This position is crafted for individuals who have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferably with work in computer science, information systems, engineering or closely related field, and two years in managerial or supervisory capacity.
