Position OverviewVisitation Catholic School is seeking a compassionate, organized, and collaborative full-time School Counselor who will support the academic, social-emotional, and spiritual development of students. The Counselor will work closely with students, families, faculty, and administration to help promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment.
This position requires someone who can provide both individual and group counseling services, contribute to the professional development of staff, oversee the implementation of the school intervention program (STEP), and collaborate on school-wide efforts to meet students' needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Support-Provide individual and small group counseling for students facing social-emotional, behavioral, or academic challenges.-Implement and support social-emotional learning (SEL) programming across grade levels.-Promote mental health awareness and wellness among students.
Collaboration & Consultation-Partner with faculty and staff to address student needs and support classroom management strategies.-Serve as a key member of the Student Success Team, including oversight of the STEP program and related intervention plans.-Attend and contribute to grade-level, faculty, and intervention team meetings as needed.
Parent Communication & Support-Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress, concerns, and strategies for support.-Facilitate informational parent meetings and offer guidance on external referrals when appropriate.-Provide resources and workshops to educate and engage families in student wellness.
Programmatic Duties-Coordinate and monitor student support programs, including STEP and other academic or behavioral interventions.-Maintain confidential student records in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.-Support school events, Catholic identity, and mission-driven programming when appropriate.

Wage RangeThe rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
