Counselor / Case Management

Location: Newark, NJ

Pay Rate: $29.41/hr. on W2 without benefits

Work Hours: 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM (Unpaid Lunch Period: 30 Minutes)

Background Check Required: Yes

Job Description:

Equipment to be used by the temporary staffing professional(s): Laptop

Computer software to be used: Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, AOSOS, IGX (mandate)

Interview Mode: Microsoft Teams

Knowledge, Skills, Education, and/or Experience:

Minimum of four years of experience involving case management. The ability to pay attention to detail is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well with a team and independently. Computer proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams. Ability to schedule and manage tasks effectively. Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills. Organizational and multitasking skills.

Mandatory Skills/Certification(s) Requirement: All of the above.

Job Duties Manage tasks that vary in complexity based on client needs. Frequently interact with clients, families, human service agencies, law enforcement, employers, and service providers. Apply knowledge in counseling, social work, case management, and relevant legislation. Work is essential for helping clients achieve independence and employment, impacting on the cost efficiency and quality of services. Case managers make independent decisions in client interactions, with guidance on policy and funding.
