Join us in making a difference! JobSummary Odyssey House Louisiana, Inc. is seeking afull-time Licensed Counselor or Social Worker. The schedule is Monday-Friday 8 am-5pm and weekends as needed. The Counselor will provide specialized services for the assigned caseload,provide core and ancillary group therapies weekly, individual counseling and whenappropriate, family therapy. The Counselor has the main responsibility ofmaintaining communication with the referral source, court systems, and otherinvolved human service providers as related to the client's ongoing treatmentand discharge planning. The Counselor is responsible for working within themultidisciplinary team to develop treatment planning, treatment case reviews,and all written documentation as required by the agency, state and federalcourts, and all funding sources. Responsibilities and Duties It isthe duty and responsibility of the Counselor to: • provide Clinical services toassigned clients; conduct weekly group therapies, individual counseling and/or family therapy as outlined intreatment plans; co-lead group therapies; conduct family assessments/therapy; • function as a liaison tooutside agencies, participate in case planning conferences, and treatmentmeetings and, when necessary, attend court hearings and represent the agencyand client(s); • maintain contact with and isavailable to Agency personnel, client's drug court officer, and family membersregarding client's progress, problems and crises; • maintain clinical case filefor each client to include: assessments, Individual Treatment Plans, • Case notes, and dischargesummaries; • apply ASAM Criteria totreatment planning; • maximize units of servicesand maintain contract units of service by working with clients to stay engagedin treatment; • provide crisis managementwhen indicated by client need; • assist with the planning andorganization of therapeutic client actives both at and outside of the facility; • ensure all written reportsare up-to-date in case file; • ensure completion ofelectronic medical record documentation; • attend staff and othermeetings; • attend regularly scheduledin-service training; • participate in quarterlytraining with staff; • complete all Incident Reportsprior to the end of scheduled shift as required by Incident Policy andProcedure; • adhere to all LouisianaDepartment of Health and Agency contract requirements; • maintain COA standards andparticipate in COA site audits; • collaborate with otherdepartments; • work with Bayou Healthproviders for initial authorization and concurrent authorizations; • ensure that all sign insheets are printed for group and all groups are batched for billing; and • perform all other duties asassigned. Qualificationsand Skills Required: Minimum qualificationsinclude the following: • HighSchool Diploma or equivalent • Valid CIT certification • Currently enrolled in aClinical Social Work or Counseling Master's Degree program • At least 1 year of substanceuse disorder treatment modalities (emphasis on Minnesota Model) and DSM-Vexperience • Excellent communicationskills Preferred: Preferred qualificationsinclude the following: • Bachelor's Degree in ClinicalSocial Work or Counseling • RAC, CAC, PLPC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, CIT, LAC Compensationand Benefits Competitive Compensation and Benefits package includesinsurance (health, dental, vision, life, long-term and short-term disability),leave benefits and 401k match.
