This team is responsible for processing requests for fabric and costumes and ensuring they are delivered in a timely manner. The team also includes cast that handle more advanced costume accessory development and production utilizing advanced costume craft skills such as mold-making, fabric dying, etc.The Costuming Manager will report to the Area Manager of Costume Production.This is a Full-Time role.What You Will DoProvide daily leadership, coaching, and mentoring to a team of direct & indirect reports, including ensuring the team receives accurate training and understands their role and how to perform it accuratelyTrack and report on work being completed by the teamManaging unionized Cast and maintaining collective bargaining agreementsReview and prepare workflow, resource needs, and action plans while ensuring efficiency, quality, and customer service standards are metLook for areas of opportunity to improve efficiency for the organization and strive for consistent processes within Disney Live Entertainment Costuming.Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and implementing standards and procedures and aligning with Company guidelinesPartner and provide timely communication to all Cast MembersEstablish a collaborative and supportive working relationship with co-workers and support staff across all levels of the organization, and across partnering disciplinesProactively identify operational issues, recommend and implement strategies to resolveFacilitate meetings with various partners to gain an understanding of various projects and resultsKeep informed of new and emerging technologies that could improve current business practicesRequired Qualifications & Skills1years of indirect and/or direct leadership experience such as Coordinator, Crew Chief, Lead, Trainer, etc.1years experience working with Collective Bargaining agreementsExperience in planning, problem-solving, conflict resolution, influencing, and negotiatingExperience prioritizing and multitasking a variety of workflowsExperience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfactionExperience delivering direct written and oral feedback and communication to all levels of partners (written and/or verbal)Ability to travel between work locations in a given dayAbility to work around all types of fabrics, fibers, and synthetic fursAbility to work flexible hours including weekends, nights, and holidaysPreferred QualificationsExperience with inventory managementExperience with Walt Disney World Collective Bargaining agreementsExperience with GUSor other inventory management systemsExperience in the apparel industryExperience in logistics and/or domestic and international shippingEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent is required Advanced degree in Inventory Management, Business Management, Fashion, Theater, Costuming or related fields is preferredAdditional InformationBenefits and Perks:Disney offers a rewards package to help you live your best life.
