Position Summary

The Sales Manager plays a key role in driving event success by serving as the liaison between clients and hotel departments. This position ensures smooth event execution from initial booking through post-event follow-up. With a strong focus on service, communication, and collaboration, the Sales Manager also looks for opportunities to enhance guest experiences through thoughtful up-selling and tailored event solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Know your work schedule and follow it with a high degree of reliability.
  • Work in a cooperative and friendly manner with fellow associates.
  • Maintain professional attire and personal hygiene.
  • Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.
  • Read, understand and follow all policies, procedures and practices as stated in the Associate Handbook.
  • Inform management promptly of any work-related problems or guest complaints.
  • Practice “aggressive hospitality” and provide guest satisfaction.
  • Provide for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and ordinances as they apply to the hotel, guests and associates.
  • Know all emergency procedures (fire, severe weather, bomb threats, guest accidents/illness, etc.).
  • Negotiate with guests and patrons for banquets, meetings and functions, suggesting menus, bar setup, room arrangements as per policy. Inform other departments of arrangements in writing to ensure success.
  • Work closely with the setup team for catering functions to maximize facility utilization.
  • Prepare monthly inventory of catering office supplies and requisition approvals.
  • Train, coordinate, and supervise banquet staff and captain duties.
  • Maintain budgeted sales quotas.
  • Solicit banquet business, enter bookings, and finalize functions.
  • Handle changes on Banquet Event Orders (BEO) effectively.
  • Finalize details on BEOs by making customer contact and publishing for distribution.
  • Meet or exceed booking goals through customer engagement.
  • Perform MOD responsibilities as directed.
  • Accurately prepare weekly banquet forecasts.
  • Provide site tours of banquet facilities to potential clients.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Salary: $70,000 - $72,000
