Cost Controller - Cornerstone Concilium : Job Details

Supports the Budget Manager, Contract Managers, Contract Admins, and Amtrak Finance in collecting and reporting on budgets, commitments, actuals, incurred, and forecast costs. Manages and oversees package budgets, actual costs, forecasts, contingency, and accruals. Ensures projects are completed within the allocated budget. Identifies cost-saving opportunities and mitigates financial risks in coordination with the risk management team. Maintains the cost control system and follows cost management procedures. Analyzes cost data to identify trends and discrepancies. Collects cost impacts for potential changes and implements changes upon approval. Reviews contractor invoices for compliance with contracts from a financial perspective, including expenses and rates.

Qualifications

• Financial acumen, project cost management expertise, attention to detail, good communication skills, good problem-solving skills.
• Expertise with MS Excel and experience with project management software or cost control systems.

Degree Requirement for Position

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education and training.

Minimum Experience

10 years of relevant experience required.

Position Location: Field, at a minimum: 3 days a week. 1500 Whetstone Way, Baltimore (Ramparts Building)

Salary Range: $70,118 to $129,365 per year
