General Summary of the Position:
The Cost Controller Accountant works for the Charleston, WV office and reports to the Regional Manager. The primary responsibilities include performing general accounting duties, overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other functions related to project management. The position ensures all project-related materials are fully documented and assists in meeting contractual requirements.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques, proficiency with financial statement analysis and projection
- Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP)
- Highest standards of personal and professional integrity; promote ethical business behavior
- Negotiate favorable contracts with suppliers to reduce costs
- Strong mathematical and analytical abilities
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities on schedule
- Effective oral and written communication skills with all staff levels
- Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions
- Dependability in meeting attendance schedules
Required Education, Training, and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent; a combination of education and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the work is a plus
- Minimum of five (5) years in an accounting operation or equivalent
- Previous managerial experience is a plus
Work Context/Physical/Mental Requirements
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds at times
