Cost Control Manager - US, Ohio - 12 Month ContractThis is a fantastic opportunity for aCost Control Manager to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage the project control budget and cost control framework.
- Oversee cost reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis in alignment with client expectations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and EPCM partners to ensure consistent and transparent cost governance.
- Monitor commitments, actuals, and cash flow across all workstreams, including engineering, construction, and CQV.
- Lead the change management process—tracking change orders, analyzing cost impact, and supporting value engineering efforts.
- Validate purchase requisitions, contract values, and invoices to ensure alignment with budget and project controls.
- Maintain the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and ensure integration with financial systems such as SAP.
- Prepare and present monthly cost reports and dashboards to senior stakeholders.
- Participate in final cost reconciliation and project closeout to support asset capitalization.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
- Extensive experience in cost control on large-scale CAPEX projects ($300M+), preferably within pharmaceutical or specialty chemical environments.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, vendor invoicing, and project financial workflows.
- Proficiency in tools such as Excel, SAP, and cost control/reporting software (e.g., EcoSys, Prism, or similar).
- Experience supporting both Owner-side and EPCM projects.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
