Cost Accounting Manager - CapstoneONE Search : Job Details

We are representing an industry leading Fortune 1000 publicly traded manufacturing organization who is actively seeking an Assistant Cost Accounting Manager to support accounting and finance operations while reporting to the Senior Controller. The Divisional CFO is targeting a candidate who can move into the Controller position within the next 24 months.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

• Candidate will work closely with Finance Director and executive leadership while assuming ownership over reporting and planning function.
• Develop cost standards for labor and burden rates.
• Month-end close process including financial package preparation.
• Maintain various records, ad hoc reporting and analysis
• Analyzes financial data obtained through studies to determine effects of costs on business
• Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided to determine effects on costs
• Provides management with detailed reports for use in making business decisions and controlling expenditures.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of plant cost based experienced within the manufacturing sector.
• Candidate should be well versed in Excel
• Experience leading month end close process
• Strong budgeting/forecasting
