LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join a manufacturing company experiencing significant growth and strategic expansion. This newly created role is designed to align with company strategic objectives and you will need to build from scratch. You will be responsible for managing the full scope of cost accounting at the plant level, partnering closely with plant operations and management. This role requires a dedicated point of contact for all standard costing functions within a business unit, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of cost accounting, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
  • Partner with plant operations and management to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
  • Implement and maintain ERP and costing systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Prepare and review cost reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Conduct regular cost audits and identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Develop and implement cost accounting policies and procedures.
  • Analyze production costs and recommend cost-saving measures.
  • Support the integration of new products and processes into the costing system.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all cost accounting-related inquiries within the business unit.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
  • Experience with ERP and costing system implementation is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Compensation:

$110,000- $130,000
