Corporate Strategy Analyst

As a Corporate Strategy Analyst at Hearst Magazines, you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing strategic priorities that will influence the long-term direction of the company. Sitting within our Strategy and Corporate Development team, this role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership across functionsconsumer, editorial, advertising, digital product, engineering, and data operationson projects that matter.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive execution of key strategic initiatives by coordinating project plans, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring timely delivery of key milestones
- Craft high-impact presentations and briefing materials for senior leadership, board members, and external partners, distilling complex data into clear, visual narratives
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support strategic planning and evaluate potential growth opportunities
- Stay up-to-date on technology trends, consumer behavior shifts, and changes in the publishing landscape to inform the company's digital innovation roadmap
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across editorial, advertising, digital product, engineering, and data operations
- Tackle ambiguous business challenges with structured thinking and data-driven recommendations
- Support evaluation of potential partnerships or M&A opportunities
- Operate in a hybrid work environment, with regular in-office presence required in our New York City headquarters
Qualifications (What We're Looking For)
- Intellectually curious with excellent critical thinking and analytical skills
- Strong project management capabilities; able to drive results in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- 2+ years of experience in corporate strategy, corporate development, M&A, business development, or operational roles
- Exceptional communication skillswritten, verbal, and visual (especially in PowerPoint)
- Comfortable synthesizing complex ideas into actionable insights
- Interest in media, journalism, or publishing
- Bachelor's degree required
Compensation & Benefits
The base salary for this role is between $66,000 - $80,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
