We are committed to fostering, cultivating and preserving a culture of equity, diversity, access and inclusion.$80,000.00/yearSummary We are searching for a Sr. Accountant to perform various corporate accounting functions.Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with the month, quarter and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
    • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes are performed.
    • Collaborate with divisional accounting teams to gather and analyze financial data for various cross-book entries.
    • Perform the reconciliation of accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Create vouchers and code invoices before submitting to AP for processing.
  • Prepare and file various tax-related documents and reports.
  • Responsible for consolidated fixed asset maintenance and reporting
    • Collaborate with departments to ensure proper capitalization of expenditures and timely recording of fixed asset transactions
    • Record acquisitions, disposals, and transfers of fixed assets in accordance with accounting policies.
    • Calculate and record depreciation and amortization expenses.
    • Perform regular reconciliations of fixed asset accounts and resolve discrepancies.
    • Lead CAPEX forecasting process
  • Assist with compliance with ASC 842 lease accounting standards
    • Perform lease classifications, calculations, and journal entries in accordance with ASC 842 guidelines
    • Conduct regular reviews and reconciliations of lease data to ensure lease
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
  • 5+ year of accounting experience is required.
  • Bachelors in Accounting or Finance, MBA & CPA a plus.
Communication Skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial statements.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from partners, or members of the industry.
  • Ability to write emails that conform to prescribed style and format.
Computer Skills
  • Experience with Oracle, Adaptive, & Excel 4Apps preferred.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office especially Excel using formulas and functions
  • Ability to navigate and work within a computer software / system
