About the Role

As trusted advisors and expert pro bono practitioners, Taproot's Advisory Services team designs and delivers high-quality pro bono service to social good organizations. The team sets the standard of excellence in the pro bono field by demonstrating, innovating, and sharing best practices.

The Advisory Services team provides services in:

  • Pro Bono Strategy & Advisement: Designing and developing pro bono programs that maximize impact for clients, including companies, foundations, and other organizations.
  • Pro Bono Program Delivery: Implementing pro bono programs that connect social good organizations with skilled volunteers.
  • Pro Bono Field Building: Developing tools and resources to enable high-quality pro bono services and sharing them through convenings or thought leadership.

What You'll Achieve

The Corporate Pro Bono Specialist executes complex external engagements. This remote position will be 20-29 hours per week for up to 5 months, providing additional capacity during peak season.

The responsibilities include:

  • Client Relationship Management, Oversight, and Service Delivery (95-100%): Leading or supporting 2–3 engagements, which may be complex or require solo staffing, ensuring high-impact, timely, and in-scope delivery.
  • Supporting the service delivery of large, complicated, or new engagements as needed.

Other Duties as Requested (0-5%): Contributing to projects related to system or process updates, and attending team meetings as requested.

About You

  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience in nonprofit, corporate, consulting, or related sectors, including professional services, CSR, or pro bono program implementation.
  • Experience managing clients or external stakeholders.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Additional Information

  • This is a remote position with minimal travel, open to candidates anywhere in the continental U.S.
  • Hourly rate: $36.00/hour.
