This includes developing policies, maintaining the compliance program, serving as the Privacy Officer, and collaborating with departments like HR, Risk Management, Legal, and Internal Audit to address compliance issues. The role involves developing training, staying updated on healthcare regulations, and managing the compliance team.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or business, with a graduate degree or JD preferred. A minimum of 5-7 years in healthcare compliance, experience with a large hospital or health system, and strong communication and organizational skills are required. Knowledge of federal and state billing laws, HIPAA, fraud laws, and state healthcare laws is essential. The role also requires the ability to present complex information clearly to various audiences.
