DescriptionJob purposeA Production Operator's primary purpose, include working independently and in coordination with the Team Leader or Supervisor, is to be responsible for the accurate and compliant manufacturing of various Air & Cooling products, utilizing a variety of manual, automated, and semi-automated equipment and processes. Duties and responsibilities • Responsible for meeting daily production targets and quotas.
- Follows verbal and written instruction and is accountable for his/her actions.
- Successfully learns a variety of production processes and performs them safely and proficiently. Under close supervision, may operate a variety of machines and station to produce good products.
- Follows (HSE) Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines (PPE, etc.) and always demonstrates safe work practices.
- Must be regular and punctual in attendance and adhere to all employee handbook policies.
- Adheres to strict safety regulations of the company.
- Follows First in/First Out (FIFO) when pulling product from Work in Progress(WIP) areas.
- Responsible for completing First piece checks, when necessary.
- Follow Sogefi's Quality Management System, ISO, and Safety Requirements.
- Report accidents and injury's immediately to the Supervisor.
- Maintains a safe, clean and organized work area and ensures that others are doing the same.
- Promotes job and process improvement as it relates to the department (through 5S and other improvement initiatives).
- Responsible for preventing, identifying, and controlling safety hazards of processes, equipment and materials and applying that knowledge during routine and non-routine operations as well as emergency situations.
- Monitors and records critical process parameters and performs a wide variety of skilled duties in the preparation and operation of process equipment.
- Overtime may be required, based on business need; regular attendance required.
• Performs other related duties, as required. Qualifications • Able to read, write and communicate effectively. • Complete forms (handwritten, and/or computer-based) to document productivity. • Follow verbal instructions. • Strong math skills. • Experience with up-stream and down-stream processes (preferably).Working conditions • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is occasionally exposed to wet, warm, humid and cold temperatures.
- Inside working conditions with temperatures varying from 40 to 110 degrees.
- Basic PPE; Safety glasses, Hearing protection, Steel Toe/Composite toes shoes.

- The employee is frequently required to stand; occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
