Copper Wire Production Technician - NESCO Resource : Job Details

Nesco Resource is seeking mechanically skilled and detail-oriented individuals to join our Copper Wire Production Team. Depending on the department (CRW, CMP, or CNS), you will process 1 copper wire into rods, shaped products, or narrow strips using specialized machinery. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, comfortable with machine adjustments and maintenance, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor wire-processing machinery to meet product specifications.
• Adjust machine settings (thickness, length, shape, temperature) based on order requirements.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance to ensure smooth production.
• Inspect finished products for quality and consistency.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.

Department-Specific Duties:

• CRW (Copper Rod & Wire): Shave or stretch 1 wire into rods/wires of varying diameters.
• CMP (Copper Metal Product): Form 1 wire into custom shapes (e.g., brackets, coils).
• CNS (Copper Narrow Strip): Flatten 1 wire into precision strips of specified widths.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Mechanical aptitude Ability to learn machinery operation quickly (training provided).
• Problem-solving skills Diagnose and resolve minor machine issues independently.
• Attention to detail Ensure products meet exact size, shape, and quality standards.
• Physical stamina Stand for long periods and handle repetitive tasks.
• Safety-conscious Follow guidelines for industrial equipment and materials.
