Copper Winder - NESCO Rentals : Job Details

Nesco Resource is looking for a Copper Winder located in New Milford, CT. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate. Shift: Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM Pay: $18-$19/Hour Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Copper Winder to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for winding copper wire and related materials onto coils, cores, or other components according to precise specifications. You will work closely with production supervisors and quality teams to ensure each unit meets performance and safety standards. Responsibilities:

• Operate winding equipment to produce coils to exact dimensions and tolerances.
• Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and work orders to determine winding patterns and specifications.
• Select appropriate wire gauges and insulation materials for each project.
• Measure and cut wire to precise lengths, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
• Inspect completed windings for defects, correct winding tension, and adherence to specifications.
• Maintain winding machines, tools, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues during the winding process.
• Follow all safety procedures and quality control standards.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in coil winding, electrical assembly, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating wire lengths.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
