Copper OSP Design Engineer - MasTec : Job Details

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a full-time OSP Designer in support of a large-scale telecommunications project for both OSP Fiber and Copper Networks. The position requires experience with outside plant in aerial, buried and/or underground facilities, with a thorough knowledge of all issues related to federal, state or local government permitting; as well as pole and conduit licensing procedures with utility permitting agencies. The OSP Engineer must work cohesively with the Engineering PM. In addition, you will: Receive field data collected, analyze local and wide area network systems, and develop most cost efficient fiber/copper network route design in accordance with customer specifications and guidelines Read and understand road prints, utility maps, and as-builts to identify conflicts with existing facilities Collaborate with any necessary vendor, as well as internal GIS and CAD teams to produce all required documentation for application packages Follow very specific and d...Design Engineer, Engineer, Design, Communications, Fiber Optic, Telecommunications, Technology
